Well, it’s the ability to connect with the other party. Effective communication stems from the right combination of tone, words, body language and pace of speech and actions – all of which are components of a person’s behavioral style. To communicate more effectively, we often need to adopt our style to others.

Powerful communication techniques are vital for anyone who needs, not only to influence other people to achieve results, but also part and parcel of building strong relationship among the staff. Ironically some of the most important interpersonal skills for work and life are never taught. What we say, how we say it, how we listen, the question we ask, our demeanour, actions and movement are all the stuff of interpersonal communication. Too often we take them for granted yet effective interpersonal communication skills matter to us all, in any situation. In business and in the workplace, they can be critical.
